YOTL is a sustainable clothing brand that strives to bring colorful ideas to the fashion world. Based in Seattle and Toronto, each garment is handmade and inspired by a fusion of the Pacific Northwest and Toronto cityscape.
MEET THE CREATORS
With roots in Seattle, Washington, founders Cindy and Victoria grew up with the perfect balance of nature and urban views.

In 2020, Cindy and Vic set their horizons on the East Coast to study at the University of Toronto. Searching for a passion project, they decided to create YARN ON THE LOOSE with a vision to highlight their own experiences through sewing, stitching, and crocheting.
What are you studying?
I am double majoring in neuroscience and psychology at the University of Toronto.

What are your passions?
I am an advocate for social justice and equity. I'm also interested in medicine and the environment.

What is your favorite project to make?
I enjoy making earrings because they're quick, cute, and you can be creative with them.

Honestly, I would say either my "I wanna be in the mountains" playlist or "haze". It depends!

What are you studying?
I am a business student at Rotman Commerce studying management, economics, statistics, and psychology.

What are your passions?
Growing up in the PNW, I prioritize being involved in environmental conservation. I'm also passionate about fashion and design.

What is your favorite project to make?
Bucket hats are definitely my favorite. It's become an iconic addition to my wardrobe.

I feel like the playlist I always gravitate back to is my "pacific northwest" one.
